Chris Turner is a Marine Veteran who is a rising Country Music Star. He is working with the Department of the VFW in Tennessee and the Crosswinds Foundation to launch the Freedom Tour. Andrew was a guest on Oscar Mike Radio for #158 . (https://oscarmikeradio.com/2019/…) He was launching the Nashville, TN Irreverent Warriors Silkies Hike in 2019, and working on rebuilding himself. February 19th, 2020 Andrew graduated from Veterans Court. We talked about how that experience was good for him. He is a new man. Along with doing Veterans Court, Andrew feels Irreverent Warriors will allow him to give back to others who are fighting their personal battles. I was honored to be there for Andrew. Big thanks to Zac Jenkins Marine Veteran Owner of Semper Sliders for letting us use the space to record. I really appreciated getting to meet all of Andrew’s friends who came out to support him. It was a special feeling to meet “Momma Bear”, Cindy McNally who is the president and CEO of Irreverent Warriors. It only took a minute to feel like one of your cubs. Semper Fidelis

Dean Wegner played hockey for West Point then went on to be an Army Aviator. He was fortunate enough to be a candidate for Ranger School, and successfully completed his career in the Army as a Ranger.
Dean worked in several different industries, apparel being one of them. He has this idea that clothing could be made in America again. I could not believe it when he told me that 3% of all clothing worn in America is actually made in America.
As I talked with Dean, I couldn’t help but be drawn into this simple idea that jobs could be brought back to America. While I think it is an uphill battle, I wanted to be a part of this journey. When Dean showed me the Freedom T-Shirt and socks, I knew that I wanted only one answer to, “Where is Oscar Mike Radio’s apparel made?”

The first part of this podcast, Andrew was candid about his situation and how he got to certain places in his life. In a way, this hike is a way to leave the past behind and turn over a new life.
Listening to Andrew talk, I can tell you that this is the reason to Oscar Mike Radio.
