This episode marks the final installment of our Black History Month series, celebrating the extraordinary contributions of Black Americans. I was honored to speak with Deputy Secretary Andrea Gayle-Bennett from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans Services. As the first Black female colonel in the Massachusetts National Guard, Bennett has paved the way for future generations.

In this special Black History Month collaboration, she shares her remarkable journey, the importance of representation, and her ongoing advocacy for veterans—especially women and people of color. We also discuss the Acts of Service campaign, which encourages community involvement and honors the contributions of Black service members and women veterans. The Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS) partners with federal and local organizations to provide Massachusetts veterans with top-quality programs, benefits, and advocacy.

Thank you, Deputy Secretary Gayle-Bennett, for your leadership, support, and incredible conversation!
